Quick Review:
After the success of Pokemon Black and Pokemon White, the next pair of game titles of Generation 5 – Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2 – is expected to be a new wave of excitement for Pokémon’s fans. The region in these games is still the familiar Unova, but rather than just being a remake version, Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 will provide us with new stories, new characters, new locations, and some other new features:
The events of these games will be 2 years after the events of Pokemon Black and White.
- You will play in the role of a new character, as well as a new Rival and a new professor who will give you your guidance at the start.
- New locations will appear on Unova’s map, such as the player character’s hometown – Aspertia Town. Almost every old locations of Unova will also have significantly changes.
- There will be new Gyms and Gym Leaders in Unova this time.
- Good news is, you will have the chance to meet with some old characters, such as Bianca, Cheren, and N. You can even battle Gym Leaders and Champions from previous games in a new place called World Tournament.
- Different from Pokemon Black and White, you can see some Pokemon from other generations in Unova Pokedex, not generation 5 only.
- New forms of some Pokemon will appear in these games. For example, Kyurem’s Black Form and White Form, or new forms of ‘Kami Trio’ – Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus.

Pokemon Black 2 and White 2 can be played on Nintendo DS, or played in 2D on Nintendo 3DS. They are expected to be published on June 23, 2012 in Japan. So, let’s wait for the moment, shall we?
